Cool that was exactly what i thought before launching this video, some dialogue would be cool.
But why this teen aimed tone, i’d personnally like it more if you really speak of the games/developpers.

Joe Larson on November 17, 2008 at 8:23

I agree. Maybe were getting a powerup later in the week with nothing but a half hour of interviews with these guys.

WingedDrant on November 17, 2008 at 11:47

[..YouTube..] I bet you’re gonna get some pretty crazy calls

Anthony on November 17, 2008 at 11:48

Fear not, dudes. Thursday’s episode is going to be all interview with our guests- that’s why we asked everyone to submit questions next week.

I wouldn’t dare have these guys on without making sure to ask them the things you want to know.

bytejacker on November 17, 2008 at 14:34

[..YouTube..] I sure hope so.

Crazy calls are the best calls.

I can’t get the Chef to work. Can’t set video mode 320×200. Setup.bat does nothing. Is there a way to fix this?

peterthejimmaster on November 17, 2008 at 19:46

[..YouTube..] Great Episode guys, Mr. Carboni, you are like the cannon justice the fires inde games at people. I enjoy being hit by those games.

qwerty on November 17, 2008 at 19:53

Got the setup working by setting chef.exe to run in win98 compatibility mode, but it still won’t work. The mouse doesn’t respond properly and then Windows starts locking up too. Almost had to reboot. Guess I won’t be playing this one.

I think it was made in a really really early version of Adventure Game Studio, so you will all probably have to use dosbox to play it. That said, it is definatly worth checking out.

Chasofito on November 18, 2008 at 3:11

Okay so.. as far as picking a game there was a bit of a polarizing pick when it comes to the three here. Mainly because one of which is a shooter game where as the other two are adventure games. So unless you are okay with shooting games, Garden likely wont be your pick.

That said, I picked Garden because I am a shooting game fanatic. I dont discount the adventure games, though leaning towards Dirty Split more. But I am more of the action type player. The boards semi random and the like and the interesting weapon selection with a slight memory of the Gradius series.

Oh and the reviews are fun to watch too, of course.

Chr0n3 on November 18, 2008 at 6:24

Anthony looks drunk like from the very first frame lol %)

bytejacker on November 18, 2008 at 6:52

[..YouTube..] I think I’m putting that quote on my resume.

Anthony on November 18, 2008 at 8:47

@Chr0n3 - No way, dude. I’m not drunk until at LEAST 30 seconds in.

Wait until you see Thursday.

Garden of Coloured Lights is great and I don’t even like shooters.

I think it’s hard, but not super-hard like some bullet hell shooters. The visuals and sounds are great. I love how it’s all musical notes.

As for my victory strategy (I’ve gotten to level 3, maybe 4). Take the strongest rapid fire weapon (the one that doesn’t orbit your ship) and two of the heavy lance weapons (the one that hits everything in a straight line). Those things are awesome and can level up really quickly when you can hit 2-5 enemies easily with it. You also never have to worry about a quick enemy intercepting your shot (unlike the exploding weapon), and it’s instantaneous.

[..YouTube..] I loved little girl in underland, that woman is a genious

Nitro Crate on November 18, 2008 at 22:24

hahaha, “and that’s how I got all the way to level 2″

Yousa on November 18, 2008 at 22:44

That woman is really attractive

Heesoo on November 19, 2008 at 9:25

Garden of Coloured lights made me go on for hours…. it is SO HARD!!! and I think that’s what attracted me into it..
Yet I did not manage to go on to level 3. I managed to go through level 1 without dying but ASAP I started level 2.. I could not even blink my eyes!
Anyways, cheers to Linley Henzell for this awesome game!!
