Minecraft is one of my favourite games, though at the moment I’m a little burnt-out with it, so I’m looking forward to getting some inspiration from the video!

Annoyingly, I can’t find any iron or redstone to have a go myself. I did build a simple adding machine once though – it was enormous!

My favorite feature/mode is Alpha. It’s fun, it’s a great time killer, and it makes me afraid of the dark all over again.
I’ve made a large observatory, a glass dome with a large tower leading up to a platform above the clouds. I haven’t exactly finished the railing yet, and I nearly lost the same diamond pickaxe from dying three times.
I honestly would have to say when multiple creepers get up in my face, nearly kill me, but leave me with enough health to see that the explosion revealed a large vein of iron.

I’ve only just, like less than a week ago, really discovered minecraft. Kinda wrote it off from the free gameplay. For me it’s all about that awesome crafting system.
Wait… did Nick happen move to SF with you? I mean you’re still working pretty close with him. Hard to do that from across the nation. I mean, he’s a dedicated lacky. You need him in there with you.

MineCraft is one of those rare “everything to everyone” experiences. Some players love building things. Some love tearing things down. For some, it’s the crafting, or the mining, or the machines you can build from physical elements and logic gates. But for me, Minecraft is one of the most sublimely terrifying games I’ve ever played, and certainly one of the scariest that doesn’t have “Resident” or “Silent” in the title. There’s something unnerving about tunneling into a vast underground cavern that twists and turns until you lose your bearings, and all the while your supply of torches is dwindling and something is growling at you from beyond a wall…
Haha, that’s awesome! I never would have thought of Minecraft as a horror game to anyone, but it’s easy to see how playing Alpha and tunneling around at night with the lights off could get pretty terrifying pretty quick.
Anyways, that comment is fantastic, and we’d love to use it in the episode! Any chance you could record it as a video comment (or at least a voice comment at 530-675-GAME) so we could include it? Thanks, man!

I posted my castle a while ago on my Youtube channel. It’s a castle on an island, in which I built only using the resources I found on and under that island. The video shows everything on top and underneath the island, and includes a cavern water zombie battle!
