Demos finally coming to WiiWare!

Have you always wanted to try WiiWare games like LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias but lacked the courage to blindly drop the $10? The answer to all your troubles is apparently just over the horizon. The incomparable Satoru Iwata announced today that demos for WiiWare titles are on their way to the system, and we’ll begin seeing them in some regions before the end of the month. Heck yes, Nintendo! Play that catch-up!

Seriously, it’s kind of hard to not be excited by this announcement, especially after being spoiled for so long by game demos on other systems, including the DS. Iwata warns that it’s only a trial run and that only a couple titles will be covered at first, but still, a couple free chunks of game is better than no free chunks of game.
