While I don't have a camera or webcam, I will try my best to describe my retro gaming collection:

Unfortunately, the only consoles I still own (that are considered retro) are the SNES and Genesis. I did however own an NES at one point in time, but I've no idea what's become of it.

As a child, my first video game ever was Sonic the Hedgehog. To this day, I am a hardcore Sonic the Hedgehog fan, and nothing can change that.

About a year ago, my physical Genesis cartridge for Sonic & Knuckles got damaged (or whatever happened to it, it would no longer lock-on to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3)

Most would suggest I switch over to Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube/PlayStation 2, which I do infact own, however, that wasn't good enough for me.

I went on eBay and I purchased a used copy of the game.

For the SNES, there wasn't much for me at the time, the only game that I still own for it is Super Mario World, which I find myself playing the Gameboy Advance remake more.

So my real gem, is not the Genesis itself, but my small Sonic the Hedgehog collection.

Gem of my collection? Well, I'll throw out the gem of my NES collection (if it could even be called that. xD.) But seriously, here's my thoughts.

The game is called Metal Storm, and was released just before the SNES came out. You know how the games slowly get better as the console ages, as the developers learn how to use the console better. Well, this is one of those games, being released near the end of the nes's life.

The game itself is a platformer. You, a mech with a gun are to pass each stage. Whether it be another mech infront of you, or a turret, or boss, you shoot it away and progress. Sound usual? Yeah, but it's not. The game gives you one bonus - the power to control gravity. So, if you feel like walking on the roof, walking past a mech instead of blowing it up, or just feel like getting some secrets, you have the power to do it. There are obsticles which force you to manipulate the gravity to your advantage - so in essence, it's combining the fast paced action of platformers & puzzle games. But, it's bosses have some shooter elements in them. (Dodge those bullets!) It almost reminds me of contra, with both games having solid controls.

Unfortunately, it never received much attention. I would have loved a sequel....Or two..Oh well. The game stands alone perfectly.

But that's not all that's going for it. It has a great soundtrack, and epic graphics. Though the graphics haven't aged perfectly - it's beautiful for what the nes has to offer. There's some really cool things about it though, since it's from the developers of R-Type, you'll actually see things from R-Type. (Puts me in nostalgia mode, xD.)

So yeah. Playing this game on a portable device is a dream of mine, which is one reason why I'd love a Dingoo. Unfortunately, I couldn't give a video response, but I've given my all in this comments. So whether you liked reading this or not, I hope you have a great time playing the game.

I love how much they used to throw in with PC games. It's no wonder piracy is so rampant these days when the retail games are nothing more than a disk and "getting started" card (can't even bother with an instruction booklet. . . ).

LOL, actually my cat knocked over a candlestick. Gamegear is still working fine :)

Yeah, the IR7000 is certainly an interesting item. I still don't really understand why sega made it, but it's certainly a neat little gadget.
