As promised, David Fox launched his site Flash Mindmeld this morning, and now Flash developers have an extremely cool resource at their fingertips: 60-second responses to the question “What makes or breaks a great Flash game?”, as answered by 60 of the most talented devs working in Flash today.
Just to drop a few names, Flash Mindmeld features answers from folks like Adam Saltsman (Adam Atomic), John Cooney (jmtb02), Tom Fulp, Ed McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, plus devs from Nitrome, Metanet, PixelJam and Armor Games. It’s all kind of awesome!
Oh, also, Chevy Ray Johnston is participating. And he chose to submit his as a rap, SURPRISING ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. I think he’s going for a Nicki Minaj thing with all the deliberate vocal glitches, but you can’t be 100% sure. It’s kind of something that needs to be heard to be believed, so definitely check that out.
In terms of consumption, you’ve got two options: if you’d prefer to listen to the clips individually, just head to flashmindmeld.com and click on the image of whoever you’d like to hear speak. You can also check out all 60 tips presented as an hour long podcast, which can be found here.
