A patch rolled out this morning for Joe Danger, and man is it a doozy. The game now supports, in their words, “the ability to share Joe Danger levels on the Wide World Internet Web” with the help of a USB storage device. They also added the ability to save replays and directly upload them to YouTube, which, if you ever played the Just Cause 2 demo, you know is basically the most valuable feature a game can have.
As of right now, there’s only one level in the Level Showcase – an extremely intense-looking stage called The Death Box by Hello Games’ own Sean Murray. There’s a video of it embedded below – suddenly, all those comparisons to Trials HD seem a bit less kneejerk-y and a bit more apt, don’t they?
To top it all off, Hello Games is hosting a contest: they want people to submit the best Target levels they’ve built, and the top five submissions will earn the creators a massive Joe Danger poster, custom artwork, t-shirts and more! So get on that. Or don’t. Less competition for me.
For instructions on how to upload your own levels, there’s an excellent post on the Hello Games forums explaining how to fully take advantage of these swell new features.
Readers! Have you uploaded anything to Joe Danger‘s Level Showcase yet? Post links to your creations in the comments!
