By now, you probably know all about Kokoromi’s Gamma challenges. In years past, the Gamma events have allowed indie devs to explore game creation in highly specific constraints, resulting in fantastic games like Paper Moon and Passage. This year, Kokoromi was invited to hold Gamma4 on the GDC show floor in San Francisco – but have come up short for funding the Gamma 4 showcase event, to (hopefully) take place March 10h at Mezzanine.
What Kokoromi has chosen to do is set up a Kickstarter page where you can pledge any amount of money you choose (above $5). They’ve come up with some pretty sweet prizes for pledging, too; anyone who donates will get their name (or the name of their choice) displayed both at the event and on the Kokoromi site. The incentives to donate only escalate from there, from complimentary copies of games like AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! and Crayon Physics Deluxe to rare promotional items, autographed Super Meat Boy comics, and other cool rare items. The $50 is tempting me, half because Gamma absolutely deserves support, but also because I am super curious what the hell an Audiosurf “activation coaster” even is.
If you want to pledge your support, follow the widget to the left for more information! Remember, your card won’t be charged unless the full limit for funding is reached.
