It’s the beginning of a new and excitingly different story! Welcome to Master Quest!
After all the GDC craziness wound down last week, I rolled by the fabulous Best Western Americania (yes, that’s the actual name) to talk to someone whose work I’ve admired for a while: Danny Baranowsky, the composer of the soundtracks for games like Super Meat Boy, Canabalt, Gravity Hook, and Steambirds. We took an hour and talked about his influences, his creative process, and how his career has developed over the last couple years.
It was a lot of fun to really get to talk to someone in-depth about their work, as opposed to fitting it all into a 3-minute video segment. I think it’s something I’d like to do more often. Let me know what you think down below!
