So this is pretty excellent: Paolo Pedericini of Molleindustria, the Italian dev behind Every day the same dream, just released Run Jesus Run, a game that seems to posit the question: what if WarioWare was, you know, shorter? And Biblical?
I’ll let the directions speak for themselves:
Instructions: click on the Flash object to start.
You have 10 seconds to redeem the humanity.
Arrow keys: Run. Space: Do Jesus Things.
Awesome. It was put together for this month’s Experimental Gameplay Project theme, 10 Seconds. It’s great for a couple reasons, most of which I’ll let you discover yourself (it’s literally ten seconds long! go play it!), but the best part has to be the MIDI version of this ole YouTube chestnut.
What do you think of Run Jesus Run? Any other releases for the 10 Seconds EGP that are worth checking out? Let us know in the comments?

Wow, amazing. This isn’t offensive to my religion at all! (semi-sarcastic, semi-not sarcastic)
Blocked at work for being sexually explicit? The heck.
That’s okay, I played this one already, and it’s brilliant. Tho I hadn’t heard that song before. Now that get’s a super THE HECK!
Love the art style, i mean, it’s really blocky and low res, but it has a very iconic design so you get it right at first glance, also the moments chosen and “score” screen are very fun… cant get past 11 apostols, is there a 13th?
It only could be improved by unlocking playing with raptor Jesus after beating the game with all apostols…
I really liked the art style too. The white-pixel surprised eyes whenever you perform a miracle cracked me up every time.
And yes, getting all 12 apostles is totally possible.
I managed 12 the second time I got to the last supper. I’m not even sure how you get only 11. I try for a low score and can’t get less than 3 apostles. (Low score being actually get to the end, but can’t get less than 3. I don’t think it’s possible not to get at least that.
I think I got 11 more than any other number. I’m guessing the 12th comes from not letting go of the right arrow for the entire length of the game.
No, if you hold down right the whole time, you fight Culex and get the secret 13th apostle.
The 12th comes from something else.
Transcendent game — best thing all week. I got 11 by doing everything Jesusy up the the last screen and only resurrecting the dead man. Love to talk about a game like so. Ha.
I love this. This is just sacrilegously brilliant. There are just so many reason why this may be the best religious themed game ever. I think what really does it is the bible quotes at the top of the screen as JC is recruiting apostles.
I will be grinning about this for days. Facebook here I come. Thanks Anthony for sharing.
