Game making competition Ludum Dare 17 is this weekend, and a handful of indie devs (including bentosmile and docky) areplanning on gathering to work on their entries in Cambridge this weekend. Yesterday, though, there was a pre-meetup meetup, and out came sumouse.
Sumouse is a high-stakes arm-wrestling-esque game wherein two players share one mouse, vying for control as they try to both hold down their respective button and push it into their color-coded box. Having attempted to play the game this afternoon with my extremely powerful roommate using my crappy 3-inch-long portable laptop mouse, I have learned that this game should only be played under very specific conditions.
To make a long story short, I am now out a mouse. But not for the reason you might expect. Play sumouse now to better understand why.

Hopefully, I’ll be entering. But if any big names come into play like those, it’s an instant loss most likely.
Oh, and areplanning?
Pirates that make plans?
Aye, I’ll be there. I love that Cambs is becoming a weird indie mecca – Bento, Dock and I all worked at the same place, and now we’ve kidnapped Mr. Terry. I played sumouse with him the other day – he won.
