I am a massive and totally unabashed fan of the first Pac-Man Championship Edition. It’s one of my favorite Xbox Live Arcade games ever, and is one of the only cases I can think of where a remake of a staggeringly popular retro game actually turned out better than the original.
So it’s more than a little insane that the sequel to that remake, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, looks somehow even better and even crazier than the first game. Please, please just watch:
Yeah. That is how you end a trailer, motherfuckers. You can look forward to the full game out this December, but in the meantime, I’ll just watch this trailer over and over. Jesus.

Now they’ve combined Oac Man and snake! Think about it. What else can they splice in? Soon Pac Man will be pushing blocks in a sokoban mode. Not saying that’s bad. In fact I think it’s brilliant.
I love the additional view modes, esp the PacMania one. Not truly PacMania. Maybe it’s stealing from the Namco-collection Pac Man arrangement. Comparing screenshots now. Hmm, nope, it’s definitely a PacMania remix. I wonder if you can jump?

I’m guessing you can’t jump. I’m pretty sure that in the game they’re called “skins,” so I doubt they affect gameplay in any real way. WHO KNOWS, THOUGH!
