Will we get to the studio? Will we interview Felix? WILL WE MAKE IT IN TIME?
Find out tomorrow, same Byte-time, same Byte-channel!

It’s stuff like that right there that makes me love the MTA so much. Lord, this fare hike is going to murder us all.

It’s cause you live in the city. New York City. Move out here to the midwest, man.
I think it was the late Bill Hicks who made the observation that England has neither gangs nor crime. “Oh no! The hooligans are here! Touch them and they might become scalliwags!”. Having said that our underground trains get delayed due to explosions, so I’m sure New York isn’t that bad!
Funny story: poor Felix is visiting from Vienna, where it is mostly sausages and beautiful countryside and decorum. When the conductor came on and announced “We’ll be delayed because someone is beating someone up on the train directly in front of us,” he looked at us with geniune concern and said “Does this happen all the time on the trains here?”
My official response to him: “No, definitely not.”
My inner monologue: “Dude, I can’t believe I’ve been on 3 trains this week that’ve been delayed by fights.”
Aha: so you lied to me about New Yorks subway: tsssss
Man, that first class flight and 5 star hotel must have been ruined by this… too cheap to rent a limo, eh?
I didn’t take the limo bytejacker offered because I wanted a genuine New York experience :)
I gotta say, that’s the most enthusiastic public transportation employee I’ve ever heard. Most of them are monotone, but oh no, not this guy.
“eeeeeeehhhhyou should proceed! Be Patient!”
Classic.
I wish you could have heard him on the first announcement it was HILARIOUS!
Just another moment in the greatest city in the world.
