A few days ago, the first trailer for the game portion of the Scott Pilgrim comic / movie / game trifecta went up on GameTrailers and kind of blew everyone away. I mean, with a soundtrack by Anamanaguchi and pixel art by Paul Robertson, we all knew it was going to be rad. But after watching that trailer (posted below), I think even non-Pilgrim fans will be excited for this one.
Pretty good, right? Well, yesterday another trailer for the game went up, bringing with it some new footage, a bit more exposition, and some information about what systems we can expect the game on. Here’s trailer #2:
You might’ve noticed the “Coming soon to the PlayStation Network” bit at the end. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will be a timed exclusive for PSN, meaning the downloadable title will be available on the PS3 before it sees release later this year on the Xbox 360.
Readers! Are you as excited for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World as we are? Let us know in the comments!

The soundtrack sounds great!
I can’t wait for the ‘Guch to release it.
SCOTT PILGRIM!?
CAN I HAS IT
CAN I HAS IT
CAN I HAS IT
CAN I HAS IT
CAN I HAS IT
This looks like so much fun, it’s not even funny! Is it possible that a licensed game may actually be good?
Does it have a choice but to be a good game? I mean, the comic takes place in a video game, doesn’t it? I mean he’s in a world with 1-ups and save points. I always thought Scott Pilgrim was a video game character in a video game world. Maybe I’m wrong.
The dev team behind this also made the GBA game from the TMNT movie, also known as the last GOOD Ninja Turtle game. Besides, how can you possibly go wrong with a playable Kim Pine?
For all my knowledge about the soundtrack and art, I actually know next to nothing about the pedigree of the dev team. What else have they worked on?
It’s about time Paul Robertson got to make the game he was born to make!
Am I the only one who feels Michael Cera is totally wrong for the part?
Everyone feels that way, but the rest of the cast more than makes up for it. Kieran Culken as Wallace Wells is fantastic, Alison Pill is adorable as Kim Pine, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram is outstanding, et cetera. The fact that Scott is the over-exposed Michael Cera makes it just that much easier for the audience to loathe him, which is perfect for such a deplorable-yet-relatable character.
