You guys! Tonight’s the night! As part of the Game Developer’s Choice Awards, the 13th Annual Independent Games Festival award show goes down this evening at 9:30 PM EST (6:30 PST), and our very own Anthony Carboni is hosting it. And I have it on very good authority that he’s going to destroy everyone and everything. So, yeah, handle that.
For the two of you who couldn’t afford the $2,100 All-Access GDC pass this year (pfft, losers), the entire awards show will be streaming live courtesy of GameSpot.com. According to GameSpot’s schedule, the Game Developer’s Choice Awards themselves begin at 9:30 pm EST, with the IGF portion of the evening beginning at 10:30 PM EST. So feel free to tune in at either time, depending on your propensity to enjoy mainstream games. Basically, the important-est part is that you tune in for the IGF awards, because trust me, they’re gonna be the best thing you see AT LEAST all Wednesday night.
If you don’t believe me (and really, why should you?), Monaco creator Andy Schatz is currently tweeting from the rehearsals, and according to him, Anthony is “delicious.” See? It’s gonna be great. So watch it.
The stream shall be viewable from this location, so that’s where you need to head once the festivities begin. Enjoy!
