Anyway I don’t think I can comment on mobile game, last game oriented mobile system i had was Game Boy, and on game boy my favorite game was… QIX :) It was my favorite game on Game Boy alone.

I’d love to give audio/video comments and enter the contest… but I have no iPhone… which is too bad because all those games look really fun.
But, about the episode… Fun stuff! I *really liked the iPhone games, as I said, and would definitely get them if I had the ability to do so.
The Free Indie Rapid Fire Game has the best title ever, I’m pretty sure. In an acronym, it’s BSBLPBWTYCDOAAIA, not counted not-capitalized letters. With every word, it’s BSBLIPTBWTYCDOAOAIA. I dare anyone to just *try to pronounce that. Anyway, I’m looking forward to trying them out.
As for best mobile game… I’d probably say Tetris. I’ve had it both on the original giant, grey 1980′s Game Boy and on the DS. I used to play my original GB cartridge on my GBASP and enjoy the orange-y nostalgia. Yeah. Tetris is awesome.

My favorite mobile game is Snake, and I mean the first one. It’s awesome and if you say other wise I will murder you in your sleep!

They’re pick has been the pick for the past 4 weeks running. Unfortunately they’re out of town with their mother for the next couple of days, so I have no idea what they’re pick will be, tho I’ve played all these games before. That’s kinda cool.

as for the portable games – i really spent too much time on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for GBA! i guess, it’s the only “big” portable game in my life.

I actually played that one. It plays on java enabled phones and you can still get it online … somewhere. It was pretty good. Almost more of a puzzler than an FPS.
Tetris. Just plain old Tetris. Nuff said.
WOOT! I just got past that level in Being Struck by lighting. That game definitely has my vote on account of its awesomeness.

Thanks Joe, you brought so many memories. I had 10 different models of cheap LCD tetrises: plain, folding, with and without backlight, miniscule with an alarm clock and even talking (both in English and in Russian). Some of them had the version that you described, this one was my favorite too. I’ve played so much Tetris that I’m Tetris-resistant now.
I’ve had no handhelds besides these (and my cellphone is too cheap to play anything), so Tetris is my favorite mobile game. But wait! I have a 9″ netbook and I play Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup on it, does it count?

The best mobile game ever is snake. The good old snake with only two colors :D the phone i have now only got some strange version called snake xenia(it also only got two colors though)

i was so glad street fighter 3 third strike got mentioned. if it hadn’t made it in i would have gone back in time and fixed my webcam just to make sure it was mentioned. surprised by the lack of SSBM, though (especially with that one kid calling it impossibly hard to beat – what the heck?)
anyway, mobile games? usually i’m just playing whatever’s in my DS, but one of the few games i’ve brought around just for the sake of travelling is Tetris DS. plenty of good times with that game.

You’ve had some really awesome hats. I’ve only got 1 cool hat, it’s a bowler type. I wish I had one of those collapsible top hats.
That’s just the foam hat Nintendo were giving away to promote Professor Layton when it first came out last February. I went to the Nintendo World Store in NYC for the game launch, won a logic puzzle contest and got a free copy of the game (was totally going to buy it anyway) as well as a cobalt/black DS Lite. All in all, it was a pretty good day.
So you bought 1 DS and won another for free? Life is so unfair. I can’t get anyone to give me a free DS.
Did I mention my birthday coming up? Seriously, July 6th. I mean the fireworks are nice and all, thanks everyone, but they are a bit flash-in-the-pan and then gone.

I tried doing another video comment just now instead but that didn’t show up neither. It usually works, so any idea why it hasn’t?

my favorite mobile game is lumines on the PSP because it mixes music with a tetris style gameplay thus the game is made of win
also my vote goes to Raider: Episode 1 because it reminds me of the old school platforming games of the early 90s
I wanted to chime in on tweetboard. I don’t like it. I’m not going to use it.
I don’t like that every time I want to comment on it that (1) I’ve got twitters 140 character limit, (2) that when I hit send that everyone following me will go “huh? what’s that about” including (3) everyone on facebook where my twitter automatically updates too. Most of the people following me on Facebook are relatives who do not care about my gaming obsession. Consequently I end up deleting many of my tweets on facebook manually for their sake and I do not need another reason to censor my facebook page. That’s just too much work to do something I can do in the comments section of the episode each week.
Tho I will say this, it’s good to know the twitter accounts of fellow bytejacker followers, and to that end the tool is pretty cool. If it put @bytejacker before every post or something that would be bad for point 1 above, but actually resolve points 2 and 3. But that’s not your fault. Maybe I’ll twit about it. (Yes, I know it’s tweet, and I don’t care. Twit is funnier.)

I agree, Elite Beat Agents was pretty bad ass. One of the few DS games I really liked.
