The best game for piloting spaceships is FreeSpace. The controls and feeling that you are flying a spaceship is awesome!

I’d have to go with Descent 2 also. Game was so engrossing and fun to maneuver around in. Plus, it was a game that actually forced me to use a joystick, which I don’t think I’ve used one since.

joe, since you love sc so much, you should really try playing the space rangers game i mentioned before. i’m not sure if part one was even released in america though, but if you see space rangers 2 on dvd somewhere, there’s part one bundled in the package as far as i know.

Played Gratuitous Space Battles… It looked interesting and the graphics are kind of ncool… But damnnnnnn!!!! It’s absolutely boring. You can’t control anything in a that stupid game. It’s ridiculous. The best way I could describe it is, it’s a Really expensive Screen Saver, and that’s it! I was really looking forward to it and now I’m sad that it sucks so much. Too bad.
