Hahaha, holy shit this episode is amazing. The “I’m on a boat” shirt was -perfect-.
Thanks, Chevy!
We have the dudes from Ninja-Bot to thank for that one: http://sharkrobot.com/t-shirts/ion-a-boat
I just want to have it on record that I truly believe this is the best episode of anything that has ever been.
I’m sensing some sarcasm in this episode.
Pssssshhhhh.
Nice! Fucking HEEEE larious shit right theeya.. Hopefully people get it!
God, you and me both.
I get it I get it. It’s like Wind Waker.

HA! I know what you mean. We gamers actually do have lives. Nice to see you back. There has been a serious video comment drought for the past few weeks.
Ans yeah, I have a girlfriend too. It’s a beautiful thing.

Ooh, bad framing.
Let’s pick up the slack people. No video comments last week? I’m as much to blame as anyone, but dang. We owe bytejacker more love than that.

Joe (not Jon like I said in my falure of a video comment) I think that’s a great idea in the spirit of Bytejacker. We should totally do it!

hahaha, we’re proud of you Jon. Be string. You can give up world of warcraft!hahaha, we’re proud of you Jon. Be string. You can give up world of warcraft!hHahaha, we’re proud of you Jon. Be strong. You can give up world of warcraft! But, be careful when the new Starcraft comes out this year. Brent was the one looking forward to Final Fantasy. I’m looking forward to God of War 3 (And maybe Left 4 Dead 3 judging on how quickly they came out with Left 4 Dead 2). Happy New Year everybody! Glad to have a sweet place to speak my mind and listen to what other people think about video games! Love being a part of this community and this show!
Oh man, guess my edit didn’t work. I meant be strong, not string.
I had to copy and paste so I could see what I was typing. The “Add Audio-only Comment” and “Add Webcam Comment” block out my whole first like of available room to type so that’s why it came out all screwy. I forgot to delete the copied and pasted part.
What is that wonderful song at the end of this episode and where can I listen to the whole thing?
That’s “Rescue the Beagles: The Bytejacker: The Song” and it was made last year by Humphum and Missing Sayoko. They made a video for it and have a download link in the description on this YouTube page:

Touch screen would probably be better because all that clicking, like Joe says, gets pretty tedious. It’s kind of like Canabalt. That’s a free game online, but they ported it to the iPhone and iPod touch and it’s a perfect game for that. No brainer to get. Online you use the spacebar to jump from building to building to “make your daring escape” (basically run as far as you can) but it feels much more natural on the iPod touch just touching to jump instead.
Ah, 50 cent didn’t turn up, my guess is he went to give “payback” to charlie brooker….

Okay, I think I posted this in the wrong place. See below. This is in response to your Green Lantern oath reading. Meant to post it below, so I have two responses now! Oh man. And where is your gravitar Jon?
Nope
Thanks Jon!

Sweet ring also! I’ve been trying to find a good Green Lantern ring. I’m a sucker for accuracy though, so it’s been tricky.

Haha thanks for the #2 GOTY guys. It’s cool cause I only lost to spelunker, which isn’t a bad thing.
Also thanks for the nice comments on Tetraform.

Power to homemade halloween costumes!
Next Halloween: maybe Captain America. It’s about time.
Could be the best day for video comments ever.

Indie picks of the week. Really should’ve waited for my sugar high from my christmas stocking candy to die down. I look like Billy Mays trying to sell you something by using my hands way more than I should. Ha.
Don’t wory Mikey I think it’s a solid video comment. I should try Blasting Agent more. I’m just getting frustrated at how often I die. It’s by far the most difficult of the three. Everyday the same dream isn’t a challenge. Tetraform rocks. I love it. It’s so frantic! Blasting Agent is just difficult, I need to give it more of a chance.

I’m going to say it right here, right now: Kyle Rayner > Jon Stewart > Hal Jordan > Guy Gardner.
Bring it.
Oh boy. Now you’ve done it. Kyle Rayner is only good because he had Ion. He lost Ion and then a guy named Sodam Yat got it. So theoretically Sodam Yat is one of the most powerful, but I still think Hal Jordan is the best of the humans.

cock up? i think so!
Wow, new commenting system. NICE! And Laurence, this video trumps all others on this page. I'll see what I can do to help you out of that phone. My last comment for this episode, I promise! Okay, so I gave Blasting Agent another try last night and tried to push past my initial frustration. Third try was the charm. I became addicted and lost hours playing each level. As Laurence said, and I found out, when you shoot you get locked into the direction you are shooting. It is pretty much necessary for the last boss. This game, while being incredibly difficult, is incredibly rewarding. I found myself trying to be quick to the shot, jumping up, landing in front of an enemy and rattling off a few real quick shots. I definitely cussed my brains out while I tried to jump and miss my target, but I quickly got used to the control system and found that it actually felt more flexible than the usual control system. Yeah, I'm young (it's true) so I haven't had much experience with “the classics,” but after giving this game a serious play I really see now why it should be number one this week, and possibly of this upcoming year, but who knows.
This is awesome Jon.
I managed with my 3 year old MacBook Pro track pad. I think I've just adapted to playing with a trackpad, even though it sucks. I beat Tetraform without dying, but it was still hard.
Yeah, that was bugging me, and the Riffly guys never returned any of my emails about how to fix it.
Fuck 'em, the new comment system is going to smack them down like whoa.
Yeah, new commenting system – it should fix a whole lot of problems. I'm going to throw up a blog about why/what for/how to use it momentarily, but in the meantime, the big thing to know:
When you leave a new comment at the top of the page, click the green “USE MEDIA” link to record a video. When you want to reply to someone with a video, hit reply, and then the “USE MEDIA” link will appear next to reply. Click it to leave a video reply.
Hells yeah. No more copying and pasting for me.
I gotcha, I gotcha. It's looking like a classy commenting system. Kicks some serious ass. ;)
I just realized you haven't had an episode on the roof in several weeks. I'm hurtin' for the roof action! For some reason these past two episodes feel retro.
That's because my health insurance doesn't cover frostbite. It's in the fine print, I really got screwed!
Custom green lantern oath? Geek points restored.
Not that I'm the sentinel of these things.
Maybe I should have asked you guys to recite it, but I wasn't sure I'd be able to remember it. Kinda surprised myself there. Because personally I'm more of a Flash guy.
Oh yeah. Of course! Why didn't I think about how cold it is outside!
I left a video comment over the weekend but it looks like it didn’t go through? Ah well, too late now as the show’s already off to Rev3 now.
Game I’m most looking forward to is Terry Cavanagh’s VVVVVV, which comes out on Sunday so I don’t have to wait that long!!! Otherwise, probably Ace Attorney Investigations from Capcom for the DS, the spin-off from the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney series where you get to play as suave prosecutor Miles Edgeworth.
And if we want to mess with Anthony, I propose we collectively come up with a list of reasons why grappling hooks are lame-ass.
Also, did you guys do a CSS @font-face for 04b? Stylin… You know that family was designed by an actual Nintendo developer, right?
I was SO THRILLED to see Closure up there at the #2 free indie OF THE YEAR.

Hey – weird error message, but essentially it’s because this week’s poll is closed. It should be giving a better response than that, though. I’ll check it out.

And this episode was so entertaining, I actually watched the Squarespace shit. Nice job. Also, I though Everyday the Same Dream was boring as fuck. Tried to do what games like Passage did. Only more annoying.
And I know this comment is late as hell. But in 2010, I’m look forward to STARCRAFT2OMGWTFBBQZERGRUSHBUILDMOARPYLONS.
