Supposedly, The much delayed “return to ostagar” DLC is going to be out today for PS3. We’ll see if it happens or not. I love Boiware, but their lack of love for the PS3 is kinda sad. DA:O could look much better and run smoother, but they don’t want to take the time to port it correctly, we’re the last ones to get anything, and We’re snubbed out of Mass Effect entirely, Despite the fact that it’s based on the unreal engine, and has source code for the PS3 built-in.
Hopefully, My PC can be fixed soon, so I can rejoin my friends in Aion… Especially with the news that came out of Korea this week.

I wanted to add two additional fake games to the countdown this week and rig the results to 4%, 8%, 15%, 16%, 23%, and 42%.
Ha, ha, I get it. But the funny thing is the only reason I get it is I found myself on the Lost wiki last week when someone referenced the light coming out of the hatch on twitter. So I poked around, got acquainted with the characters and stories, and felt confident enough in the story, even tho I’d never watched a single episode, that I decided to watch a recap episode, the last episode of the previous season, and now I’m gonna keep up with the last season.
Am I a cheater for enjoying the fruits of this story without any of the brain warping you all had to go through being told the story anachronistically?
So…this is going to be a text comment. But knowing Anthony’s disdain for text comments I decided to sit down and make a silly little game about it.
The game requires Javascript and a keyboard and some luck getting around my bugs. Coded in around 2 hours so they’re likely to be plentyful.
The content of the game however does reflect the comment I would’ve sorta made.

Every Day the Same Dream is the game
alright guys, i love your show, but i’m just saddened at this crap. Silicon Valley was NOT my feedback entry! My entry was “Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I do to Deserve This??” for PSN network on PSP. Not only did you mislabel my game, but some poor schmuck was not recognized! You need to fix this before next week, or you’ll be on the receiving end of some STRONGLY WORDED EMAILS!

Maximum Altitude= 281. Fuckin lava appeared and scared the shit out of me on the second level.
Dude, I always feel gypped when that lava appears in the beginning of the first level.
And the panic-inducing music doesn’t help. Nor does having no reachable walls.
Maximum Alt. 235… I didn’t think one more jumping berry would hurt. It did.

By the way, 345, but it was a real chill game, no lava or impossible jumps, and I die overextending myself for a purple berry I didn’t need.
EDIT: I clearly did not read the readme. Those impossible areas are now slightly less impossible, so I don’t feel as bad about making Tower Climber my choice.

The crash seems to happen on certain computer setups more often than others, it practically never happens to me! I’m working on fixing it! Next build shouldn’t crash. Sorry about that punch in the nuts, haha. There’s a new world every 3 levels, btw guys.
It’s cool. I locked in my vote for Tower Climber.
But I still wish the climbing were faster and you could do the corner flip(first video, 2:43). You know what else would make this game more enjoyable? I have a list here:
o On screen HUD so you can see your available potions and know what key they’re bound to.
o An on screen help for all available keys (can you pause the game?) with a “press ? for help” on the main screen.
o Getting rid of that high pitched ring at the beginning. Or at least fade it in.
It’s a great game. Has lots in common with, like, spelunky and knytt. I just wish it had a few little things.
Actually, there IS an ingame HUD. It pops up if you press W.
X-com is awweesssome, all the games were up for 5$ like last monday, at it was the best….

@maji HUD = Head’s Up Display. Implies overlay that is always on. Pressing ‘W’ and having it take your focus away from the game is equivalent to having to put your head down, thus breaking the U of HUD.
So I have to disagree. The game has no HUD.

I got flu and still have to decide what will I play this weekend, and oh yeah i have to work too :((( Can’t pick anything from this week’s IRF, and you still haven’t showcased the Umbrella Adventure – The Castle of Cake the best indie free game of 2009, come on, this is not even funny!

Joe, it wasn’t just because he was white and bald. In my humble opinion they looked quite similar. I think when I watched Laurence’s videos I was trying to place the familiarity I had of his face and I think I was mixing him up for this guy. Maybe I’ll mock up a side by side or something. Laurence, I kept posting the wrong trailer. I just wanted to find the official one, not scenes or short clips.

I could never get down with the portable gaming in bed, could never hold it in a comfortable place, so my sick day games are usually on consoles. Right now my sick day game is Chibi-Robo for the GameCube. While there are goals and deadlines, overall the whole game is rather calm and relaxed, letting you do what you want at your own pace. Just mopping the floor in Chibi-Robo is fun, so I like to curl up on the couch with a blanket over my feet and Wavebird in hand and play as a tiny robot picking up candy wrappers and watering flowers.
My FIOTW is Beulah & the Hundred Birds. Definitely rough, and the platforming was not very fun, but it just lifted my heart as I played it, especially the ending. Collecting birds in that felt very much like lighting up the night sky in Flower or cleaning up the reservoir in de Blob (holy crap, are all my favorite games this week about nature and cleanliness?) so I’ve got to go with Beulah jus tbecause of how the game made me feel.

when i asked about the earthquake it was a bit tongue in cheek. i had to turn up the sound up quite loud to hear cameron and there was quite a bit of external rumbling in his vid. so much so that my subwoofer nearly caused a quake in my living room :O

Actually, I’ve never felt an earthquake. My mom tells me I just sleep right through em. But that’s probably because I’m like an hour from the coast. I don’t remember the last time we had one though…so I really don’t know how often they occur.

I’ve played SMRPG so much, but it always turns out I lose the save one way or another, I must have gotten to the ghost ship like 20 times without getting much further… I think I got to the star land once though!
See, you gotta cheat the crap out of that game by using zsnes. then you can save and load from whenever and wherever you want. :)
See I do that, but I just stop playing for awhile, then usually lose the save, then when i wanna play again, I’m like … “Damnit”
