I’m somehow not surprised that Kick-Ass the game was terrible. Mainly because the name was “Kick-Ass the game”.
Got tomorrow off and SOMEONE *you know who* May *as in will* be guest hosting this coming up comment!
Got it all planned out for tomorrow.
Though I’m worried I’m gonna have to vote for Hero Core already, I promise to give the others a chance.
In editing now! May be in Friday, buuut if not Saturday!
Its gonna be awesome, Me, Allie, and her wrong opinions.
Sunday! I swear, just having some problems with Adobe premiere
Done! Ended up switching video software mid way, my laptop cant handle premiere atall, 4gbs of ram.
Me and allie commenting on this weeks show, in our Cameron and Allie show!
If this turns out ok, I’ll try and convince her to do this more!
Click to play this video.
I am really excited to see this video, Cameron.
:D :D :D :D
I decided to make a new account! For some reason the other one was fiddly so I just decided to make this one!
Anyway heres the video, sorry it took so long, Premiere was being a paaain so I had to switch half way through.
Basically
Question:
Cameron :Walking dead, Would be the best zombie game ever
Allie: Supernatural…

::thumbs up::
Hahaha! Loved it.
Also, I think I know what the issue was with your old account. It was the apostrophe at the end of your name. Our spam filter thought you were a bot.
Super weird, right?
I always knew that apostrophe would get me in trouble someday.
Last time I try and be cool with adding an apostrophe to my name…. Gotta think of another thing
Maybe Cameronfied?
…. I’ll miss that apostrophe.
Maybe next time we do a video I’ll cut it better, its just I was relying on premiere to run well, and it didnt, so I had to all the work Sunday. Could of sworn I wasn’t gonna make it.
This was pretty cute Cameron. I especially like the kazoo’s in your intro. It’s like we got two video comments in one! Nice work! It was a little tricky getting you guys in each on your own but I think I found a way to do it, forgive my editing this week but I think I made it work.
Thanks for putting in all the extra effort!
Hah, I was just excited to have Allie comeback and comment so I thought “Why no try something to celebrate.”
And I found the song on youtube, with thanks to: http://www.youtube.com/user/AlexGeh
Next time I’ll try and make it so its not 11min long, and half of it me and allie arguing.
But supernatural? Comeon!
Whatever Cameron! Supernatural is a wonderful choice! That would make the coolest video game. You just wish you came up with that idea.
Sweet, I suggest, next time you do something like that, use this :P he stays in the same city as me :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAg5KjnAhuU
I saw that one, and I was really debating on using that one, but I felt as though the super mario 2 theme would be more appropriate. Maybe I’ll buy my own kazoo…

Ends at about 2:37, but it started skipping, so the endings a bit soft, but:
Preferred the thumbnail you tweeted.
I’d say Skud the disposable assassin if I hadn’t already got a game, so I’ll choose another… as soon as I can remember the name.
Daniel Remar lost points in my book when he didn’t want Iji ported to a console.
And where the heck is everyone this morning? Good to see the “first” wars have passed, but that doesn’t mean you can’t comment.
Joe. No. Just no. Remar didn’t port Iji to console because he didn’t want to. He didn’t because the sound effects used) and the song that plays at the end are both things that would get him sued if he made money off of it. Sorry, that just really, really pissed me off.
Well allow me to further stir the pot. Daniel responds on his contact page to all the requests to port Iji to a console, meaning he gets that a lot. He cites that it “is technically and legally impossible.” “Technically impossible” is wrong. Spelunky was a gamemaker game being ported to XBLA. It meant rewriting it entirely, but that’s hardly what I’d call “impossible”. As I understand it the “legally imposable” bit refers to the soundtrack that he’d be unable to use in the ported version. Well the port would already require starting over with the programming resources, all this would take is changing one mp3.
“Impossible”? Hardly. So what’s his excuse? Too time consuming? He spent 6 years on Iji. He had time for Hero core. Making Iji for XBLA or Wiiware would be way easier than developing a game from scratch never mind promoting and making brand recognition to the degree that he already has with Iji.
But maybe he’s burnt out on it. After 6 years I could totally see that.
So why doesn’t he just fess up to it? Just say “I don’t want to”, “maybe later, but not now”. Be honest. Because half cocked lame arsed excuses don’t get you points in my book. He’s missing a heck of an opportunity and his only explanation for it doesn’t hold water.
Maybe I’ll send him an e-mail.
It’s entirely possible that Remar has fans like Hideo Kojima’s: he likes to go between projects, but unlike Kojimer, he doesn’t require them to make money. The reason the MGS games kept getting weirder and weirder was because Kojimer wanted to move on to other things. In the same way, Remar probably doesn’t want to piss off fans by saying he doesn’t want to.
Oh, Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, you are the effing worst thing ever.
I knew going into this week that Hero Core would be the heavy favorite, but Magic Orbs looks interesting so I hope it puts up a good fight when I play it later today. I’ll leave a video comment for the comic book question later, but can we all agree to leave out Scott Pilgrim? There is a game coming out. From the guys who made the last good TMNT game. Accept it and move on.
Ha! Sanskrit, you make a valid point. I was just about to hop on here and talk for 20 mins about how great Scott Pilgrim is gonna be, and how awesome it is that it’s being made, and how everyone will fall in love with this fucking game… but I guess that might be a bit much.
If Anthony at least mentions Scooty Plagim, I’ll keep my silence. Maybe…
I hate to be this guy (seriously, I don’t want to post this, but I don’t know where else to turn), but I can’t for the life of me figure out where to upload an avatar for this account. I’ve got one tied to my Revision3 forums account, and there’s not a place to upload it on my bytejacker wordpress cp. I feel like an idiot. And a newb. I’m ussually pretty adept at this whole compuoooter doohicky, but I’m stumped.

Hmm, the notice for gravatar.com keeps coming and going here.
Thanks doods. And sorry… heh…
Would love to see an episode where Anthony gets up in Jon’s shit for slacking on something. :)
Aaaaand reaching way back here: Elfquest. That could be some epic adventure there.
Click to play this video.
Joe, We’re on the same page, dude!
BTW, I ment to say Metroid Fusion, not prime…. Sorry…
I didn’t realize Joe Madureira had anything to do with Last Shot, I thought that was strictly a Studio XD thing. A JTHM game would be nice, but I’d rather play as Squee and have to live as close to a peaceful life as you can while death and destruction litter the world around you and horrible aliens abduct you and whatnot, with occasional Meat Boy-style minigames as Happy Noodle Boy or Filler Bunny. Come to think of it, the whole thing just scream Edmund McMillen.
I have all of last shot lying around somewhere, but I was fairly sure that it was one of his creations, but maybe not.
Hmm, this is a hard statement to strike the right tone with. Lemme just say it’s a laugh to me, not anything bad, but you just made a 14 minute comment after watching a 10 minute show.
Most of the time I really wonder how Jon and Anthony managed to pack it all in.
I just reviewed the question, and Scud is a valid response because it’s what comic book character would make a GOOD game. If a bad game exists, it’s still fair game. So Scud.
Tho Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by Ed McMillen would create a singularity of awesome. I agree with Sanskrit, playing as Squee, at least in some parts, would be mandatory.
I’m a rambler… I can’t help it. Even my wife chides me on it.
turns out there was a Miyamoto Usagi game on the C64, back in the day. Apparently it wasn’t bad, for it’s time…
I’m surprised Usagi wasn’t an unlockable character in Turtle in TIme: Reshelled, but then, that would have meant putting something original and worthwhile in that game (ohsnapdidhejustsaythat). Seriously, though, Usagi and the Ninja Turtles have crossed over enough over the years, let’s just reskin a TMNT beat’em up to feudal Japan for Usagi. Had I nothing better to do with my life I may just ROM hack TMNT III: The Manhattan Project for that, surf sequences and all.
I approve of this, and will gladly donate to such a project.
Comic to game? only thing that comes to my mind is Deadpool over and over.
I am slapping myself for not thinking of this. Though Deadpool does appear in more than a few games, just none of his own.
Hideoo Kojimmer’s postmodernist mindscrewy style would be perfect for Deadpool.

I am sitting out for this feedback question. One being, i don’t really read comics that much. So instead i made a video prior to Anthony’s question last week about my clock.
Guys, your link for Termmerz is off. It’s easy to fix, but annoying.
Long time no see ;)

Hey, Danny! So, you’re making a game? Well, godspeed on your journey, and here’s hoping to, one day, see your creature featured in Bytejacker!
On the other hand, I’m not sure this is the right place for your request… The forums would probably be the way to go.
BTW, have you checked Yahtzee’s “Art of Theft”? There are some great concepts in that game! :)
Jamz, I don’t know if you’re aware, but it was Danny that made “I Hate Ice Levels” that was featured on Bytejacker. He’s made several games and you should check out his newgrounds channel. Most of his games are rhythm based and very cool.
Danny, I do have a couple of ideas that could make your game stand out. The first one requires a little bit of visual to get across:
Click to play this video.
The second idea is I’ve always thought a game would be cool that you’re collecting clues in and the clues would point you to the person you’re trying to catch. Clue the board game did it by making you find out what’s missing. Carmen Sandiego did it “Guess Who” style where one clue could be for several people, each person was a specific combination, tho they kind of hid the whole guess who aspect of eliminating suspects, which I would kinda like to be a part of. Automate the taking the clues, but let me cross people off the dossier.
And on a related note, wouldn’t Catherine Zeta-Jones make the perfect Carmen Sandiego for a movie adaptation?
Oh, sorry. I didn’t know you are THAT Danny… :) I hated “I hate ice levels”, which is to say you did an awesome job on that one (specially for a 48 hours competition. ), as I… well, hate ice levels! :D But that doesn’t change my opinion. I think it’s cool to announce your projects around here, as this is what communities are all about. But to gather ideas for it… I may be a little too stiff, but I think this is a place to discuss the corresponding episode; bearing in mind that there is a forum, creating a post there makes sense to me…
Of course, and to begin with, that’s not for me to say; just my opinion…
And Joe: appropriate or not, your idea is really cool a foundation to work from.
I’ll tell you what I want in a 2d stealth game! And thats non liner stages. I want to look at the stage and the guards, and say “Oh I can enter from the chimney, or the back door, or kill one of the guards outside, and take his uniform”
Like Hitman, but 2d, and fun!
I REALLY shouldn’t be slacking off right now, but I’m going to go ahead and comment anyways. I’d like to follow my fan-girligh instincts and go with Tank Girl just because she’s freaking awesome, but my only concern (as with JtHM) is that the game would turn into something generic, just because of all the fighting that occurs in the storyline.
Well, screw it. I guess the same could be said for any sort of story, really. And there are a crapload of awesome story ideas and chase sequences, so if the comic itself turned into a game (without anyone shitting all over it), then I guess I’d have to stick to my guns. So when I get around to picking, I’m gonna have to go with Tank Girl.
Phew! Comic to game? Well der, that’d be looking for group–oop! Wait, it’s a comic based off a video game. Hermm, that doesn’t work now does it. Okay, then, I’ll go with my mainstream fanboy self and say Garfield–oop, there already is a game. And it’s a platformer too, and it’s not bad actually. Hermm, well, okay, then I’ll go with my second knee-jerk and go Real Life! Oh, that’s a web comic…does that count? Oh wait, that leaves out Double Fine Action comic by scot c. Aw man, I can’t do that. Crap. Hermm…Ohhh, yeah, Bone, by Jeff Smith now that would be a cool…*looks at pc minigames…bleh*. Oh wait, I could choose that because the games (haven’t played them but you know) didn’t do too well. So, I think that counts and I could pick Bone. Oh crap, wait, what about Copper! Oh come on man, why did you make this so difficult???
I wholeheartedly support Double Fine Action Comics as a pick. I’m amazed that three of Double Fine’s comic strips have been made into browser games but the original DFAC is not one of them. It would be so perfect! My only concern is that it would be waaaaaay too easy to turn into just another classic Tim Schafer point-and-click adventure (despite the name, there is definitely not enough action to justify any real platforming or combat and have the game feel true to the comic).

Finalizing my Free Indie Pick. Tremmerz was good, but Magic Orbs is my pick.
Impressed with the comic choices. No Marvel or DC, we’re all going indie. Well, except for Deadpool.
Finalizing Scud as my choice.
Pimping my next project.
Sounds nice, Joe! An unconventional and very resourceful use of YouTube that I’m guessing most of the people around this community is suddenly looking forward to. Thanks for that! :)
Oh, and I have to quote you on this last video: “I thought having 2 balls was enough to get an infinite number of levels”. You’re right on this one, Joe: you need 2 balls to make an infinite number of levels, alright!! :D
Sorry, I couldn’t help it…
Wow, I just called myself by my youtube handle. Ignore that please. Tom Pease here, back.

The main reason this hasn’t been mentioned already is that a Scott Pilgrim game is currently in development. The author is apparently pretty heavily involved with the process and it’s being released alongside the movie. Awesome choice nonetheless though, Scott Pilgrim is pretty dang awesome.
Okay. So I’ve heard a lot about “Scott Pilgrim”. Great manga, New movie, Video game. So I decided to check out the first volume. After getting to chapter 3 I realized that I don’t get what all the fuss is about. Do I have to keep reading to find out? I guess it seems really generic and predictable to me… Maybe I’m getting old.
I remember everyone being shocked and hooked by the final act of the first book, so I’d say get that far and if you’re still not digging it, back out. Also “getting to chapter 3″? Dude, each book takes like a half-hour to read!
Yeah dude there is a twist at the end. The first book is mostly setup and then the following four books are fantastic.

The Maxx, 100 Bullets, Love Fights and more!
Hero Core for my free indie pick, and I wish someone would make a decent Asterix game!!
Click to play this video.
Awwww, I remember Asterix! I actually went to the theme park they have in Paris (but I couldn’t understand French so I was kind of screwed, besides going on a couple rides).
oui headphonic, c’est pas un grande probleme pour moi parce que je peut parlez un petit peut de francais ;) :P
some days I really wish I had an Accented “AZERTY” Keyboard!! =/
However I really like “Parc Asterix” (for that is it’s name) the place was a bit more down to earth than eurodisney, and that place has the longest and (dare I say) most fun Rollercoaster in Europe. I really wish I went back there when I went to see ACDC in that city last year :(
You know my first experience with Asterix was the video game. How weird is that?

Sorry I was all over the place, I love comics so much and I was thinking about it for awhile, I work much better bouncing off of someone else, its why i like recording with 2 other friends for my own comic book podcast. Also the stack i had originally was twice the size.
I thought about saying Alias just because the first level of the game would involve an anal sodomy minigame. And Jessica Drew is Spider-Woman, dude! So easy to get all those Marvel civilian names mixed up. I forget how many times I read the joke that Jessica Jones was not related to the Avengers’ pal Rick Jones.
As for DMZ, I think that Channel Zero would make for a more interesting game from Brian Wood’s catalogue, but it would be hard to make it not just a rip off of Mirror’s Edge now.
Walking Dead? Yes. That needs to happen, like, now.
@Sanskrit – I know man I messed up, I was panicking and once it came out i knew i was wrong, I was even checking the back of the comic to jog my memory but I realized I was wasting time. I think it would have been really interesting to have some sort of point and click style adventure game based on the Alias storyline, maybe even in the current style resembling the new phoenix wright game with Edgeworth. I haven’t yet read channel Zero at the moment, but I just felt that DMZ could be fun with the photography and also you can have the whole picking sides dynamic in which you can side with the free states or the united states of america or just side with no one, it could be really cool. And Walking dead would just be so fun, I imagine even the ability to do something like multiplayer co-op, and you can pick other main characters to play as, like the samurai girl (been awhile since I read it), or the sniper, and each character would allow you to do something different. And I think it would be really fun if you could throw in some tower defense moments as well, like protecting the prison, and you could even throw in a whole farming sim as well. It would be really fun if they made it work.
@Joe – Aww your making me blush! I didn’t even realize that I had a hellboy look going on, I put the goggles on just because they’re fun and make me think hero, I did have a red cape that i had planned to wear as well but couldn’t find it.
The effect of your facial hair configuration with your different hats is astonishing. With the bowler you looked like a leprechaun. With the goggles on your forehead you look like hellboy. You’re a dynamo.
I love the comments this week, mainly because of all the comics I’ve never heard of.
