We’re checking out the (for now) PS3-only Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, seeing what favorite childhood games don’t hold up over time, and witnessing Anthony emerge from the cocoon of boyhood and become a man. Sort of.

RADAR: SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD: THE GAME

Beat-’Em-Up, PS3, Ubisoft, $15

So – I’m going to spend the next couple minutes talking about Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. I mean, why not? We’re all planning on getting it anyway, but humor me for a moment – it’s the only thing I wanted to play this week and I didn’t want to split my time between it and anything else. I’ve got to say, it pretty much lives up to expectations – we’re looking at a solid, entertaining beat-em-up with amazing art by Paul Robertson and music by Anamanaguchi. Just like Scott Pilgrim himself, the game’s got a couple rough edges, but it’s just so damn charming you don’t really care.
