[..YouTube..] i would like to lay down some information here. games that have the most “upgrades” and user generated content are the most succesful. well, not really. but a bad game that adds those elements, becomes a good game. i am suprised to see that i am the only one who has noticed that.
[..YouTube..] I am definitely voting for Treasure Hunter Man as I love metroidvania games.
[..YouTube..] I tuned in too know about your winter beard.
[..YouTube..] Little girl in underland!! cant wait. that’s one of my fave indie games of all time. The dialog and voice acting is genius.
anyone who hasn’t played it go get it now. its short but brilliant.
[..YouTube..] Hmmm a bit too tigsourcey for my liking really. But that’s just me
[..YouTube..] yeah, you are bot the only one,i also saw (on tigsource) and played all three of them!
[..YouTube..] After much deliberation, I have decided against the winter beard.
Dyson looks stunning, and its maddeningly adictive. Gets my vote.
Thanks a lot for featuring Mr. Bounce on the show! I am looking forward to the next episode and your special guests.
[..YouTube..] Definately Treasure Hunter Man, that’s why I’m Let’s Playing it

Looks like he drew one of The Residents in the center right there.
Sweet! I’ve played Dyson. I stink at it. Although the game was a complete blast.
Which game to give my vote to…..

awesomely awesome.
This is the only show I actually wait for and watch as soon as each episode comes out. I have no idea why; it has a strange charm.
Thanks for waiting around Nitro! Now I know where all the early morning hits are coming from ;)
Thanks for watching!
Dyson was pretty awesome, simple design, the graphics are very good, if not minimal, and the music is excellent. Very good game all round :)
Mr. Bounce is AWESOME! I totally forgot about that game.. the dashed “trajectory preview” really changes everything, and the way the paddle slows down when it touches the dashed line is such a great idea.
Great show!

Your observation is stupid. A game that needs to be modded to be good is a failure, as simple as that. It may not be a commercial failure, as Oblivion demonstrated, but as a game, it is.
There are many games are allow to easily add user-generated content but are more worthwhile to play as a freesbie. There are many good games that do not allow user-generated content.
Besides, mods are only worthwhile on the PC and usually suck. They are usually buggy, inbalanced, incomplete and so on. Even if not, they rarely have enough servers.
A proper, proffesional environment usually results in better games than done with a lose team, poorly-organised and even more poorly managed. Everyone has ideas but few people have the patience, dedication, time and knowledge to even know whether they could be pulled off. Nevermind the fact that any team member may or may not quit the project without a word, leaving the rest of the team hanging.
Have you ever heard of Narbacular Drop? Unlikely. Portal? Likely. Portal is better than NB. Making games is tedious, tiring process that you better get paid for.
Furthermore, modding, especially on bigger 3D games, requires existing game development knowledge, possibly experience. Meaning that either existing or potential game developers need are needed to make them.
There is nothing wrong with modding, but it’s certainly something that is not a requirement for a good game.
OMG, jump over the gap and smash in the red door already!
