[..YouTube..] I love Gish
[..YouTube..] ah so thats why its called that….
[..YouTube..] ah so thats why its called that….
[..YouTube..] YOU HAD A HAIRCUT DIDN’T YOU!?
Big fan of Edmund great to hear some stuff about his life and how he got the ideas for Gish.
What happened to my questions? Whatever, every question in there was a billion times better than mine.
Oh yeah, and I still can’t believe you pick one of the free indies as the best. Its just so wrong.
I think it’s pretty obvious Iji will win… right? I don’t like it much myself, but people praise it like Cave Story or La-Mulana.
I actually went out and bought the ‘Super Special Edition’ after I found out that Edmund sold it on Etsy, just because I believe someone like Edmund really deserves credit where credit is due (and money).
@ Mopsical – Your questions were so erotic they couldn’t get them in due to the FCC.
Also; Aw man, I’m finally with my name in Free Indie.
[..YouTube..] game maker games total = 3
GAME MAKER IS AWSOMEEEEEEEEE
[..YouTube..] Love the interviews, and now with indie of the year this is getting pretty big. Can’t wait to see what’s next (and who wins!).
We actually did use your question Mopsicle but sadly it didn’t make the cut. It’s really hard to trim down so much great information into 11 minutes. This was probably the hardest edit for Bytejacker thus far. Thanks to everyone for sending stuff in even if we couldn’t fit it in, and of course thanks to Edmund who is incredible (and a wife beater) apparently ;)
My vote went to Iji. Hope it wins.
Nice interview. The story behind the name was awesome!

[..YouTube..] ZOMG how do u unlock the seal in castle crashers?!?!
Oh, OK Jon. Fair do’s. Hey, at least I got in Free Indie Rapid Fire again!
Also, spell Mopsical right next time! Its AL not LE, dammit!
So sorry mopsycle!

Thanks everybody for voting Moon!
Thanks to Bytejacker for coming up with an original way of misspelling my name (I’m not serious, I’m used to it :).
And of course, thanks Edmund for mentioning Moon, which is makes me doubly happy because Edmund did it.
OH OH MY GOD! HE USED MY QUESTION! AWESOME!
Also big thanks for pronouncing my last name correct! :D
@Daniel – Dude, hilarious thing about that – I couldn’t actually track down how to spell your name because every site I looked at had it spelled differently. I went with the one used most often. Sorry, man!
@Michael – For every name I misspell, I pronounce one correctly.
Great interview! I especially liked the story behind “This is a Cry for Help.”
Also, was I imagining things, or did that statue of Jesus in the background mysteriously change positions?
When you’re talking about Jesus, the word is “miraculous,” not “mysterious.”
Our show is now a shrine.
Hey! I just wanted to say that the college stuff that Edmund talked about was REALLY encouraging.
I go to Christian college and even though I love what I’m doing, I’ve always been worried that by not going to art school like I originally planned, I haven’t been utilizing my gifts to their full potential. I still draw everyday, work on games, and even do a bit of animation here and there, but I was worried that I could be progressing faster if I went to art school.
So thank you Edmund! I’m thrilled to know that I can still learn what I need from books, the internet, and my own experience!
[..YouTube..] Oh hey… I remember Bridge Construction Kit! There was a time when my entire school’s computer lab was playing it.
