Great episode, nice interview with Dave. Very professional looking, Mr. Gilbert.
Also: I have the teeth falling out dream ALL THE FREAKING TIME! Way more than I normally should. I wonder what it means…
I really love the way Emerald City looks and I’d love to get my hands on it. As a huge film noir fan especially.
I still have to try the complete Blackwell series, only having tried Legacy, but I’ll do that soon. I promise.
@Francisco – This brings to mind two questions:
1) What the hell DOES it mean?
2) How often should one ‘normally’ have that dream?
Your teeth falling out is your subconscious manifesting anxiety. Teeth are a very visible thing and I suspect that being in the line of work that you are you’re worried about your looks going.
I suggest you either come to a realization that you are more than just dashing good looks in front of a camera or some to the realization that john could do just as good a job in front of the camera as you and that you’re not that special. Either way would probably help the dreams.
Actually, I’m just making stuff up. I’m a computer guy, not a psychologist.
Nah, I already traded my soul to a gypsy for my looks, so I’m safe there.
For those people looking to see Jon on-camera, this was one of the first things we did together:

Teleportation is easy when you live in the cyberspace realm of ByteJacker. I want to see you teleport from your rooftop to another rooftop for your next interview. ;)
Awesome episode! Great interview!
Now I have to go download Walkie Tonky. It was the only game out of the three I didn’t get the time to play.

Lovin’ it.
P.S. Anthony, why did you send me a message earlier this week asking which other gaming sites I’m on? Probably so you can do a massive takeover of every single one of them until Bytejacker is the supreme overlord of the internet, but I just wanted to check.
Mopsical – out.
lol this evilprimate shit is so FUNNY is there more :D?
@Anthony – Ahh, memories. How we’ve grown!
@Mopsical – Customer Survey. I’m also going to email you to ask how your veal was.
@sockpuppet – Oh yeah. Tons. http://www.evilprimate.com – lots of short films, DVD commentary tracks, and good ol’ fashioned hospitality.
OMG!! i got those dreams very often! i just keep lossing my teeth or sometimes whole jaws!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
@Anthony – No need, it was delicious, thanks.
Wait, what?

So back on the topic of the video, a spinoff of the Wizard of Oz based on the BOOKS? It’s about friggin time. When I saw the mouse in tinman I though they must read the books, but by the end of the series I was convinced they’re morons. With the androids and brain removals I thought maybe, MAYBE, the tin man would be a cyborg, in keeping with the story of the tinman in the books.
Sorry, I really went off there.
So I assume I’ll be seeing emerald city confidential on my local Target shelves in a bit? I’ll keep my eye open.
Hi everyone! Happy you like the interview and think the game looks cool.
@Joe Larson: Totally with you on Tin Man. As for seeing the game in stores, I hope so. PlayFirst usually makes retail versions of all their games, so ECC should be right alongside.

@Francisco – Dude you just made my entire day with that comment, wait . . . . . scratch that, you just made my entire week.
@Anthony: I would have thought that the wonderful salmon hoody would give you the magical power of teleportation. And the power to hypnotize people. Or at least give you better access to the Force.
Great interview, as always really well produced and conducted, and nice adjustment on the top 3 rundown Anthony! Now I can spend less time bitching and more time desperately trying to find an indie game that hasn’t been featured on Bytejacker OR Tim’s blog (so that I can point it out to Bytejacker). It’s an epic search that one.
Finding anything that Tim didn’t find first (and is better at playing than you are) is a tough, tough thing. Dude is an encyclopedia of independent gaming. He gave us a lot of advice when we were first starting out. Awesome guy.
Yaaay, Dave thinks I know what I’m doing!
He just trusts me because I look like Rosa Blackwell. :)
